Winter Wellness Retreat

If the thought of darker days and cold temperatures is spinning you into a winter slump, fear not. We have the solution. Edinburgh Wellbeing Festival have joined forces with Braxton, founder of Yoga Ganesh, and the award-winning Yotel in Edinburgh to create our first Winter Wellness Retreat - the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind and reset your body while focusing on better health for the year ahead.

Designed to restore balance and awareness, this retreat combines yoga, meditation and breathwork to alleviate stress and leave you with clarity and inner peace.

Our guide Braxton, will lead you through mixed form yoga, breath-work 'vital prana' and guided meditation practice. You will also have an opportunity as part of group discussion led by Braxton, to debate spirituality, enlightenment and the benefits of healing breath. The guided meditations will cover gratitude, our inner relationships, the beauty of abundance, attraction and boundary work.

We will be joined by Mary Cotter, nutritional therapist and founder of Stellar Health, on how to look after our gut, what to eat to boost our immune system in winter and the perfect food for good mental health.

Clinical psychologist Dr Emma Hepburn will join us on screen to teach us how to boost our mood with small and simple techniques that will carry us through our daily lives, no matter the weather. A copy of Emma's new book A Toolkit for Happiness is included in your ticket.

All of this will be served with a delicious and nutritious plant-based lunch, refreshments and healthy snacks.

This retreat will not only nurture your body and mind, but also help you gain emotional strength and a positive outlook to conquer the winter ahead.

Please note that this retreat is strictly limited in numbers and there will be plenty of space to allow social distancing. In accordance with government restrictions masks must be worn when walking around the space and in the hotel. Please do not attend it you have any Covid symptoms. You are also strongly advised to have a lateral flow test before the retreat.
